What is a Legacian ?
I've been often asked "What is a Legacian", and over these coming one year, i've pondered the question. Refering back to conversations with ex-students, memories that build the foundation of a cheerleaders experience and mistakes that one would never want to make again.
There is a misconception that a Legacian is a great fighter, brave in battle. A Legacian is that to be sure. But so are those who sit and wait, those who have overcome physical afflictions.
A Legacian is a state of mind, a state of spirit, not just a word written or spoken about. It is action, compassion, acceptance of what every journey has given us. It is how we look at life and react to what happens to us.

The Gift of Pressure and Support
The Gift of Anticipation & Trust.
The Gift of Pride & Respect.
The Gift of Courage & Strength.
These are Legacians. They no longer look at a person the same.
They see what is inside them not the shell of the body.
They are grateful for the gifts given to them.
I admire their strength.
I admire their courage.
I admire their will.
I pay homage to a fellow Legacian as he/she passes by.
I thank this journey for these gifts.
For they made them the Legacian they have become.
